Agency OverviewThe Ohio House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the General Assembly. Alongside the Ohio Senate, it forms the legislative branch of the Ohio state government and works alongside the Governor of Ohio to create laws and establish a state budget. Legislative authority and responsibilities of the Ohio House of Representatives include passing bills on public policy matters, setting levels for state spending, raising and lowering taxes, and voting to uphold or override gubernatorial vetoes.
Job SummaryProvides office support for a representative. Provides scheduling, mail and telephone handling and file maintenance services and handles constituent inquiries. May draft legislation. Tracks progress of legislation for representative.

- Bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant legislative experience
