About the Office

The Franklin County Auditor’s Office is dedicated to ensuring fairness and accuracy in county tax assessments, protecting and empowering consumers, and supporting vulnerable populations with tax relief for seniors and disabled citizens.

What you will do

Review and complete tax incentive applications (exemptions, abatements, public utilities, CAUV), ensuring all required information, date stamping, assigning numbers, logging, file management, entering assessed values, printing Property Record Cards and maps, forwarding documents to appropriate departments, and maintaining data worksheets.

Process final determinations from the State of Ohio: data stamping, copying, filing, ordering Property Record Cards, and maintaining spreadsheets for abated parcels.

Complete and process Property Record Cards for final determinations and create spreadsheets for Enterprise Zone, CRA, EPA parcels, and adjust values per BOR decisions.

Maintain parcels from Land Reutilization Program and Auditor’s Sale parcels, calculate and process tender payments, manage exempt parcel transfers, mailings, and cell tower tax letters.

Process in‑house exemption applications, forward data to other departments, maintain files, and prepare final determinations.

Perform customer service functions for the public and county agencies, handle inquiries, and assist with public records requests in consultation with the Open Government Officer.

Who should apply

Applicants must have a secondary education credential (high school diploma or GED) and at least two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position.
