Job Title: Research Technician 2
Department: Arts and Sciences | Molecular Genetics Administration
The Research Technician will assist in experiments involving yeast genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and image processing and analysis. Responsibilities also include routine lab maintenance, such as ordering supplies, preparing media and plates, and sterilizing glassware.
This is a one (1) year term position with the possibility of renewal based on performance, laboratory needs, and funding availability.
Requirements: High School diploma or GED and one year of experience in Research Technician work (assisting experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related areas); or one year of full-time equivalent research experience in STEM fields during college.

The Department of Molecular Genetics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Research Technician. The College is the largest college at the university, hosting 81 majors, 38 departments, 20+ research centers, and over 2,000 faculty and staff. The pay range is $15.86 to $20.74. The final offer will be within this range, considering internal equity, budget, and candidate qualifications.
