Position Title

Department of Biomedical Informatics, Division of Biostatistics and Population Health, Biostatistics (Open Rank Tenure-Track)

Position Overview

We seek candidates for an open rank tenure‑track faculty in biostatistics. Successful applicants will collaborate across the health sciences campus to develop grants and designs for clinical trials, large cohorts, population research, basic science, and high‑throughput omics. Expertise and interests in clinical trial design, population health science, Bayesian statistics, epidemiology, causal inference, statistical learning, AI/ML, high‑dimensional data, and electronic medical records are strongly encouraged.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related discipline and a strong record of scientific collaboration and research.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop grant proposals and design studies for clinical trials, large cohorts, and population research.
  • Apply statistical methods to high‑dimensional, real‑world datasets, including AI/ML and novel omics platforms.
  • Contribute to the academic mission through teaching graduate programs, mentoring M.S. and Ph.D. students, and supervising research trainees.
  • Collaborate with investigators across the health sciences campus to support learning health systems.
Requirements

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related discipline.
