Founded in Los Angeles in 2012, it provides eye exams and glasses to students in underserved communities at no cost to the students and their families. The organization has delivered over 3.5 million vision screenings, 700,000 eye exams, and 582,000 new prescription glasses in the last decade.
Position DescriptionVision To Learn is seeking a qualified optometrist licensed to practice in Ohio to work on its mobile clinic.
Key Position Responsibilities- Provide vision evaluations, including visual acuity, binocular vision, intra‑ocular pressure, pupil assessment, full refraction, and ocular health assessment.
- Prescribe vision devices and test patients on all applicable equipment to determine the most suitable solution, and instruct patients in the proper use of it.
- Confirm that patient diagnosis is properly documented in the internal systems.
- Ohio Optometry License.
- Must be flexible to commute throughout portions of Franklin and/or Butler Counties for mobile clinic work.
- Must pass Department of Justice background check (Live Scan) and drug test.
The role requires passing a Department of Justice background check/fingerprinting (Live Scan), child abuse history clearance, tuberculin skin test, and drug test.
