National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking a passionate,
Therapist to join our CHANCE Program
, a specialized service designed to support youth who are survivors of human trafficking.
In this program you will provide intensive community-based services to survivors of human trafficking. Through collaboration with community response teams
, CHANCE helps youth heal from trauma, build resiliency, and reduce the risk of future trafficking involvement. Services are delivered in the home, school, and community
.

Responsibilities- Provides individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management, transportation, and other professional services to clients served
- Travels daily, to provide community based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
- Regularly reviews and modifies youth based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationship with assigned foster parents and families of origin.
- Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth’s case plan.
- Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
- LSW or LPC required
- Experience in providing both individual and family therapy
- Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
- Experience with TF-CBT preferred
- Daily travel required with the willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule or during non-traditional hours if needed
- Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes.
- Capacity to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds.
- You have good computer and technology skills
- Must be willing to accept other job duties as assigned
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Good driving record
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
