Open Rank Tenure‑Track Biostatistics Faculty

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking faculty to serve as open rank tenure‑track biostatisticians in the Department of Biomedical Informatics (BMI). Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or a related discipline and demonstrate core expertise in at least one of the following research areas:

• Clinical trial design and analysis – including Bayesian designs, pragmatic trials, cluster and decentralized experiments, and rapid cycle research for learning health systems.
• High‑dimensional data analytics – handling complex correlated structures, novel omics platforms, AI/ML model development, and scalable methodology for large‑scale real‑world datasets.
• Population health analytics – cross‑sectional, case‑control, cohort, geospatial and structural equation modeling, missing data and measurement‑error methods, and risk‑prediction at the population level.
• Community‑based research – health disparities and social determinants of health development.

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will collaborate with investigators across the health sciences campus to develop grant proposals and design studies in clinical trials, large cohorts, population research, basic science, and high‑throughput omics. Opportunities to develop methodologies and contribute to the academic mission through teaching graduate programs, mentoring M.S. and Ph.D. students, and supervising research trainees are available and encouraged.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated research record in at least one of the specified areas.

• Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
