• Float Requirement:
  May be required to float to other hospital units
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050-$2100

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• NCC C-EFM certification acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
• EPIC electronic health record (EHR) charting experience required
• IV start and Labor & Delivery clinical experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Must provide two professional references (one from a nurse manager, director, or supervisor)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to mothers and newborns in a high-risk obstetrics unit
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and antepartum care
• Start and maintain peripheral IVs, administer medications, and monitor patient vital signs
• Utilize EPIC EHR for accurate charting and documentation
• Support breastfeeding and lactation, providing education to patients and families
• Monitor fetal heart rates and recognize abnormal patterns using EFM and IUPC
• Float to other hospital units as needed to provide clinical support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, including urgent fingerprinting requirements
