Overview
Flagger Force is hiring a Safety Professional for the Ohio market. The Safety Professional is responsible for observing and evaluating work sites, responding to incidents, and supporting injury management plans and safety programs in alignment with company values, vision and mission.
Responsibilities- Monitor performance of safety and quality programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
- Provide operational assistance including Final Incident Reports (FIRs), pre-cons, and client feedback
- Review assigned facilities for general safety, including fire and emergency procedures
- Develop content for safety programs and assist with execution
- Complete daily activity reports and submit daily reporting
- Perform incident investigations as required
- Participate in incident investigation reviews with management as required
- Assist in the development of post-incident lessons learned and training materials (e.g. FF Learn content)
- Compile, maintain, analyze and report incidents, audits and safety statistics
- Assist and support RISK department projects and process improvement
- Anticipated 70% of time spent in the field
- Attend and participate in various department meetings as necessary
- Participate in Safety and Fleet policy development
- Maintain valid internal training certification
- Other duties as assigned by Safety Manager

- Bachelor’s or associate's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Safety or related field or equivalent work experience
- Maintain valid internal training certifications through Flagger Force Academy
- Must hold all required Department of Transportation qualifications for assigned territory
- Valid driver's license in accordance with Flagger Force motor vehicle record standards
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage time effectively
- Ability to manage high stress scenarios and environments
- Proficient computer literacy; experience with Microsoft Office products
- Steel-toed boots or ability to obtain prior to employment
