We are seeking an Ancillary Services Coordinator Intern to support patient care and learn how ancillary and over-the-counter (OTC) services can improve clinical outcomes. Based in our Columbus locations, this internship offers hands‑on experience in the business and operational side of healthcare—ideal for individuals pursuing or holding a degree in healthcare management, business, marketing, or a related field and interested in careers in medical device sales, pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare administration.
As an intern, you will work closely with providers, staff, and vendors to help ensure patients have access to therapies and products that enhance recovery, mobility, and long‑term health. This role provides exposure to both clinical operations and healthcare business development.
Key Responsibilities- Review daily patient schedules to identify opportunities for ancillary and OTC services that support better outcomes.
- Communicate with providers regarding patient eligibility for specific services or treatments.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of treatment protocols to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to integrate ancillary services into patient care plans.
- Assist with tracking and analyzing utilization data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Help educate staff on ancillary services and their role in patient recovery and health.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain product availability and ensure timely patient access.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, business, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with providers and staff.
- Interest in learning about clinical operations, patient care coordination, and healthcare sales.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered environment.
