Part‑time Clinical Dietitian position in the Teen and Pregnant Clinic (3 days per week) and the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic (1 day per week). The role includes a weekend and holiday on‑call rotation and is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Teen and Pregnant Program (TaP) provides prenatal and postpartum care for women up the age of 21 and 6 months of age.
The Muscular Dystrophy Clinic is nationally recognized for leading research and clinical care for patients with any muscular dystrophy type.
- Apply the Nutrition Care Process to provide person‑centered nutrition care for patients.
- Provide education on healthy nutrition, obesity and disease prevention, and other topics.
- Coordinate programs and projects in schools, the community, and hospital (internal and external) to represent Nationwide Children’s Hospital and develop strong community partnerships.
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (required).
- Registered Dietitian licensed in the State of Ohio (required).
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics registration and licensure to practice as a dietitian from the Ohio Board of Dietetics; OR licensed permit with completion of the RD exam within 3 months of employment (required).
- Analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience as a clinical registered & licensed dietitian (preferred).
- Clinical pediatric experience (preferred).
Occasionally:
Bend/twist, blood and/or bodily fluids, communicable diseases and/or pathogens, driving motor vehicles (work required)
* additional testing may be required, hand use: grasping, gripping, turning, lifting/carrying: 0‑10 lbs, loud noises, patient equipment, peripheral vision, pushing/pulling: 0‑25 lbs, reaching above shoulder, seeing – far/near, squat/kneel.
Frequently: audible speech, color vision, depth perception, sitting, standing, walking.
Continuously: computer skills, decision making, flexing/extending of neck, hearing acuity, interpreting data, problem solving, repetitive hand/arm use.
