Job DescriptionSummary:
Responsible for the oversight and coordination of CT personnel and students to ensure quality patient care for Emergency Department patients, inpatients and outpatients in area of specialty. Responsible for training of staff and students and assignments. Assists in departmental QC/QA. Sets and reinforces daily the example of performance, professionalism, and customer service expected of all staff.
Responsibilities And Duties:- Coordinate the activities and personnel within the department daily.
- Perform as a CT Technologist within their specialty area.
- Maintain the required knowledge and skills necessary to perform the procedures in their specialty area of supervision.
- Assign duties to ensure provision of high quality service and timely completion of procedures.
- Actively support director in the attainment of strategic departmental goals and objectives. Play an active role in improving the quality of services provided, reducing the overall cost of departmental services and promoting/enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Orient new staff, assist in evaluations of staff and interview prospective staff as requested by director.
- Assist in the clinical instruction of CT students.
- Provide input into selection of capital equipment and provide input to Director re: budgetary issues.
- Responsible for quality assurance and quality control activities within the area.
- Update staff in safety regulations and procedures changes.
- Maintain equipment and notify Director of equipment malfunction.
- Maintain accreditation requirements which involves QA/QC documentation, as applicable.
- Implement, communicate, monitor and resolve employee safety issues and concerns.
- Assist with the preparation of a variety of reports, analyses and summaries as requested by department director. Present report findings orally or in writing to requesting parties.

Quality Services, Employee Satisfaction. - Prepare work schedules.
- Regularly disseminate information to their individual modality in the form of a staff meeting or memos.
- Provide on-call coverage as needed.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
- Demonstrate competence in providing care and services to patients based on the patients age specific and/or functional needs.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, which help protect the privacy, security, & confidentiality of patient health information.
- Ensure that personal performance reflects the Mission, Vision and Service Pride Standards.
- Conduct introductory and annual evaluations and disciplinary actions.

- Type patient information into computer.
- Order and stock necessary supplies.
- Attend and complete all mandatory in-services.
- Ensure staff attends and completes all mandatory in-services.
- High School or GED (Required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
Job Description:
Work requires knowledge normally gained in 2-3 years of education/training after High school, 2-3 years previous Experience plus 3-6 months of time on the job. Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in X-Ray and CT. Must have permanent license from the Ohio Department of Health. Work requires the ability to analyze and solve problems that require the use of basic scientific, clinical or technical principals.
Examples at this level include reconciling journals and ledgers, performing relatively complex laboratory and diagnostic tests. Work requires individual contributions as well as occasional or regular direction of other employees.
