- Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
- Unit: Emergency Department Observation Unit (CC99437)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: February 9, 2026 – End: May 11, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680 – $1720
- Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Staffing Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: EPIC electronic health records
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Flu Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only)
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license—compact or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
- Preferred:
Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I or II experience - ER observation/holding or MS/tele experience required
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department Observation Unit
- Manage telemetry, dysrhythmia, PCU/stepdown care, and rapid response team utilization
- Administer IV insulin and heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration)
- Perform blood product administration, tracheostomy management, wound care, and wound vac procedures
- Utilize non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy)
- Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and more
- Float to similar nursing units as needed
