Psychiatry Open Track/Rank - Mood and Anxiety

Position Summary:

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is seeking faculty members of open rank to join our Mood and Anxiety Program. Successful candidates will have a strong record of external research funding or, for junior applicants, a high potential for external funding. Faculty will be expected to develop, lead, or substantially contribute to clinical, education, and research programs in the mood‑ and anxiety‑related domains.

Responsibilities
  • Advance an externally funded program of research and publish research in high‑quality, peer‑reviewed scientific journals.
  • Mentor trainees across levels of academic development.
  • Participate in division, department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
  • Contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits within the Mood and Anxiety Program and interdisciplinary clinical service models.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program; or Ph.D. in a related field with a strong research program if not clinically licensed, provided the applicant is actively interested in training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care.
  • Excellence in external research funding and scholarship; high potential for future funding (especially for junior candidates).
  • Expertise in randomized clinical trial designs, neuromodulation, interventional psychiatry, or personalized treatment approaches is especially encouraged.
  • Clinical licensure (Ph.D. or M.D.) expected if consistent with degree; tenure‑track, clinical, or research faculty track may be considered.

Location:
