Research Assistant/Associate, Clinical Research, Research Scientist
Job Title: Research Aide

Position Type: Temporary (Fixed Term)
Duration: April to mid‑November 2026 (flexible beginning and end dates)
Location: Stone Laboratory (0118), Put‑In‑Bay, Ohio
Responsibilities- Assist the Research Coordinator with current Stone Laboratory research projects and visiting researchers at the laboratory.
- Collect samples aboard Stone Laboratory research boats on Lake Erie.
- Prepare chemical solutions and assist in laboratory experiments.
- Maintain and sustain cultures of algae.
- Conduct analytical chemistry analysis of water samples and report data to Ohio EPA.
- Maintain clean analytical lab glassware and work with concentrated and caustic acids.
- Pickup samples collected by other researchers on the mainland.
- Assist with the Research Experience for Undergraduates Program.
- Prepare and maintain research facilities for utilization by visitors, faculty, researchers, and students.
- Conduct inventory of supplies and equipment; maintain and repair scientific equipment.
- Assist in generation of relevant laboratory reports, including data entry and analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School graduate or Associate Degree required.
- 0–1 year(s) of relevant experience/demonstrated ability in routine field work.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required; experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or analytical chemistry laboratories desired.
- Successful completion of a background check required.
- Subject to pre‑consortium drug screening upon hire and additional screenings as required.

40 per week. First Shift.
