Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians is the largest, independent ENT and Allergy practice in the state of Ohio with seven offices throughout central Ohio. Our practice provides a wide spectrum of medical services including comprehensive ENT services, Allergy, Audiology, Oral-Pathology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, CT, SLP and an ambulatory surgery center.

Our Riverside Hearing Services, Ltd. dba Hearing Health Solutions in Columbus is seeking 4th year Audiology Externs for a twelve-month, full-time, paid externship position for the  academic year. Clinical opportunities that will be given to the Extern:
  • Pediatric evaluations (Infants & School Age)
  • Adult hearing evaluations
  • Tympanometry
  • Otoacoustic emissions
  • Vestibular assessments
  • Hearing aid selection/fitting/dispensing
  • Audiologic rehabilitation
  • Cochlear implant evaluations & Rehabilitation
  • Tinnitus assessments & Rehabilitation
  • Cerumen management
Requirements

Extern candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Audiology program and have completed all clinical and educational requirements of their program.

To participate it is expected that the extern to have mastered these skills before their clinical externship:

  • Proficient audiometric testing abilities for adult and pediatric populations.
  • Working knowledge of ENG/VNG testing.
  • Working knowledge of hearing aid technology.
  • Ability to interact with patients, supervisors, physicians, and support staff appropriately and professionally.
