Research Senior Associate - Physiology & Cell Biology
Job Title: Research Senior Associate - Physiology & Cell Biology
Department: Medicine | School Biomedicine Science Physiology and Cell Biology
Responsibilities- Design, execute, and manage research projects in a foundational biological/health science laboratory
- Collaborate with the principal investigator (PI) to develop and implement goals and objectives of studies
- Conceptualize, design, and execute complex laboratory experiments
- Plan and execute advanced molecular and cellular techniques
- Coordinate and oversee data processing, analysis, and interpretation
- Develop and implement new research methodologies and techniques
- Plan experimental designs, sampling methods, and analytical approaches
- Establish research controls, criteria, and standards
- Conduct critical literature analysis related to research topics
- Write and prepare research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at national and international conferences
- Assist with development, writing, and preparation of grant proposals and project reports
- Investigate and recommend potential research funding sources
- Participate in grant budget development and expense monitoring
- Ensure laboratory safety compliance with OSHA and governmental regulations
- Supervise and train research staff
- Manage daily laboratory operations and oversee procurement of supplies and equipment
- Provide technical assistance and supervise equipment maintenance and repairs
- Master’s Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of relevant experience required with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with a Master’s Degree
- Considerable experience in a biological/health research capacity
- A Doctoral degree in an appropriate biological/health science field is desirable
