Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the most central facility to be eligible to apply.

Position: ASCP Certified Cytotechnologist
Facility:
Riverside Methodist Hospital
Shift: Usually Mon-Fri ; no weekends; no call; no holidays
Minimum requirements (4009):- Bachelor's Degree with field of study:
Cytotechnology, chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND possess Certification as a CT (ASCP), scat (ASCP) or CT (CMIAC). - OR
- Bachelor of science degree in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND a graduate of a CAHEA approved school of Cytotechnology
- Must have 2 years of experience with travel (in hospital setting)
- High volume lab experience
- Hologic/thinprep, MUST BE HOLOGIC IMAGER TRAINED AND BE ABLE TO SHOW CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING

The principal responsibility of the Cytotechnologist is to microscopically examine a wide variety of complex cellular body specimens for the purpose of identifying abnormal changes in cells that may be indicative of inflammatory, premalignant, malignant or other changes. The process must be performed with a high degree of accuracy, precision and timeliness. These assessments are based on specific knowledge of hum anatomy, physiology and pathology, and on judgement acquired in specialized undergraduate and postgraduate training.
EMR is EPIC and lab personnel will wear red scrubs.
