Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour
Job Description Position Details- Position:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) - Location:
Columbus, OH - Shift: Day, Evening or Night shift (5x8)
- Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience (Hard Stop)
- Teaching Hospital experience required
- Level II Trauma experience required
- Acute Care OR Sterile Processing experience required
- Certification through: CRCST (HSPA/IAHCSMM) or CBSPD
- Medivator experience required
- Perform decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Assemble instrument trays and specialty procedure sets.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness.
- Process loaner instrumentation and specialty surgical equipment.
- Operate steam sterilizers, Sterrad systems, washer-disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners, and Medivator systems.
- Prepare case carts and organize instrumentation according to preference cards.
- Perform biological and chemical indicator testing and documentation.
- Maintain sterile storage standards and inventory control.
- Track instrumentation using Censitrac.
- Support operating rooms and ambulatory sites by ensuring timely delivery of sterile supplies.
