Catering Attendant, Nationwide Arena

The opportunity

Delaware North Sport service is searching for part‑time Catering Attendants to join our team at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. As a Catering Attendant you will provide outstanding customer service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that guests' needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate will be friendly, positive and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.

$14.00 - $14.00 / hour

• Sets up tables for function in accordance with banquet event order
• Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner
• Performs necessary tasks to service guests including: taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing of dirty dishes
• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints
• Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable)
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow team members
• Breaks down event according to company procedures

• Must be 18 or older
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hotel, full‑service restaurant, catering facility, or club environment
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly
• No high school diploma or GED required

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
• Exposure to variable temperatures
• May be required to work in narrow spaces

The 18,500‑seat venue is home to the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, and hosts concerts and events. We manage concession outlets, including diner‑themed stands that offer traditional arena fares such as hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, and a variety of beers featuring local Ohio breweries.
