Job Description & How to Apply Below

No two days in hotel food and beverage are exactly the same. One morning, you may be helping your team prepare for breakfast service, checking inventory, or making sure the restaurant is ready to welcome guests. Later in the day, you could be coordinating a banquet setup, preparing for the evening social, or working alongside your bartenders and servers to keep service running smoothly.

As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you'll help oversee the daily operations of our restaurant, bar, evening social, and banquet functions. You'll work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to lead your team, maintain quality and service standards, manage costs, and create a welcoming experience for every guest. This is a hands-on position where you'll be just as comfortable coaching your team as you are stepping in to serve guests, assist with an event, or help wherever needed.

At Newport Hospitality Group, Living Hospitality means taking pride in the little things, supporting one another, and creating experiences that make guests feel genuinely welcome.

What You'll Own

As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you'll help lead the hotel's food and beverage operations, including:

  • Daily Operations: Supervise restaurant, bar, evening social, and banquet services, ensuring smooth operations, cleanliness, and consistent food and beverage quality.

  • Team Leadership: Train, schedule, coach, and support restaurant, kitchen, bar, and banquet associates while maintaining a positive and accountable work environment.

  • Banquets & Events: Coordinate event setups, food and beverage service, audiovisual needs, and breakdowns to ensure successful meetings and functions.

  • Guest

    Experience:

Create a welcoming atmosphere, respond to guest concerns, and ensure service consistently meets hotel and brand standards.

  • Cost & Inventory Management: Assist with ordering, inventory controls, labor management, waste reduction, and monitoring food and beverage expenses.

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety standards.

  • Hands-On Support: Step in during busy periods, assist with service, and help cover operational needs to keep the department running efficiently.
