The Benefits Specialist/Coordinator is an essential part of the INEOS Enterprises’ Human Resources Department. The position assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.
Responsibilities- Assist with administration of various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits
- Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system as needed
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit inquiries
- Ensure distribution of required employee notices
- Administer retirement plans, including 401(k), pension, and other employer-sponsored plans, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate plan setup, contributions, distributions, and compliance testing
- Able to work and complete all legally required audits across multiple business units
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Human Resources or related field
- 5 years in Human Resources or benefits administration is preferred
- Knowledge of employee benefits is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strict attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Advanced organizational and time management skills
- Strong research, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing/competing priorities
- Proficient with Excel (formatting, pivot tables, functions/formulas, Vlookup, etc.) and Power Point
