Job Description # Data Stage Developer
* Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM Data Stage to support data integration and transformation needs.
* Develop Python scripts for data processing, automation, and integration with ETL workflows.
* Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
* Write and optimize SQL queries for Snowflake and other relational databases.
* Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts and Python scripts to support ETL automation and job scheduling.
* Participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis for data-related issues.
* Support change management processes, including documentation and deployment of code changes.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and data flow diagrams.
* Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* 4+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Data Stage development.
* Strong experience with Python for data processing and automation.
* Experience with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.
* Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
* Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
* Experience with incident and change management processes (ITIL framework preferred).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Ability to work onsite 4 days a week in Columbus, OH or Detroit, MI.
* Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
* Exposure to data quality, data lineage, and metadata management tools.
