** The position is located in Columbus, Ohio, and includes a hybrid work arrangement with in-office collaboration.
**** This people-leader position serves as Director Software Engineering (SEPM) for the Nationwide Financial (NF) Actuarial Technology application suite within the Integrated Digital Services (IDS) Business Solution Area. This leader is accountable for all aspects of technology solution delivery including plan, build, and run functions for the NF Actuarial business function, including leadership for up to 15 direct reports and two agile lines.

This critical application portfolio primarily supports life and annuity policy modeling, financial reporting, reserving, and forecasting among other actuarial functions. It also includes regulatory needs for Nationwide’s Financial Services businesses.
**** From a technical perspective, NF Actuarial scope multiple modeling platforms (primarily SaaS/Cloud-based, with some smaller on premises); the Actuarial Data Mart and related integration code and Ruby automation that support it; and modern data storage and analytic platforms (including Databricks and Snowflake) for large actuarial and input data sets.
