Engineer is responsible for all IT transition and integration tasks in support of acquired centers. The incumbent will evaluate and document current‑state IT environments, determine technical environment strategy, and execute the transition of acquired entities to Client specifications.
What you'll do at Insight- Conduct discovery activities, including site visits and comprehensive documentation of the technical environment.
- Collaborate with impacted IT areas during planning and development of the future‑state environment for each acquired center, ensuring full understanding of the current state and providing follow‑up data as needed.
- Receive, configure, and arrange delivery of desktop hardware to centers ahead of IT cutover dates.
- Perform IT transition tasks, including:
- Development, execution, and sign‑off of test plans.
- Installation of hardware (computers, servers, routers, switches).
- Installation, mapping, data migration, and on‑site user setup of applications.
- Training center employees on issue logging procedures.
- Provide post‑closing support and transition services to the Service Desk.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a technical support role.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to dynamic project environments.
- Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and teammates.
- Willingness to travel, including some weekends.
- Thorough understanding of desktop computer environments and issue resolution.
- Proficiency in database and system design.
- Knowledge of Internet, Intranet, and client/server architectures.
- Understanding of network and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Broad knowledge of Information Technology capabilities.
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to leadership.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
- Capable of conveying difficult or sensitive information professionally.
