Our client is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimize mission‑critical database environments that power enterprise operations. This is a remote role based out of Columbus, OH, offering flexibility while giving you the opportunity to work on complex database systems that support a growing organization. Responsibilities- Manage and maintain MS SQL Server instances, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Perform database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.
- Handle instance management and advanced query writing for complex data needs.
- Ensure database security, backup, and recovery processes are in place and effective.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support business objectives.
- 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience with MS SQL Server.
- Strong expertise in instance management and query optimization.
- Solid understanding of database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
