Desktop Support

Overview

We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Professional to join a well-known education organization. The selected individual will be assisting users with all types of technical support issues including hardware and software, Windows/Mac, application failures, printer and network connectivity. This team s #1 priority is to assist the user and does not have strict metrics for their employees. This is a Monday-Friday role.

• Provide in-person technical support for hardware, software, Windows and Mac operating systems, application failures, printer and network connectivity.
• Document user issues within a ticketing system and follow up as needed to ensure issue resolution.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical users in clear, understandable terms.
• Collaborate with team members and work independently as required to resolve issues.

• 3+ years of experience in a Technical Support or Desktop role
• Experience with PCs running Windows 7 and Windows 10
• In-person customer technical support background is required
• Experience documenting user issues within a ticketing system
• Ability to translate technical information into non-technical speak for non-technical users
• Passion for learning new technologies and inquisitive nature

  Mac experience
• Bachelors Degree and/or IT certifications are a plus (must have degree OR years of experience)
• Prior experience supporting Higher Education users
