• Hybrid – remote with onsite meetings as needed
• W2 hourly pay rate up to $91/hr or salaried equivalent

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of cloud security detection and monitoring tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity)
• Ensure cloud workloads, containers, and orchestration platforms are securely configured and not vulnerable
• Collaborate with DAS teams for implementation
• Create and maintain security architecture within the Dev Sec Ops /Dev Ops program
• Update related policy documents and standard operating procedures for cloud security architecture
• Review solutions for compliance to cloud security standards
• Participate on project teams to advise on cloud security
• Train security team members on tools and processes
• Transfer knowledge to teams
• Maintain deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud‑native services (IAM, VPC, KMS, Security Groups)
• Design secure cloud architectures applying Zero Trust principles and shared responsibility models
• Implement IAM best practices (role‑based access control, single sign‑on, MFA, federated identity, privileged access management)
• Secure network connectivity (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation) using cloud‑native tools (AWS Security Groups, Azure NSGs)
• Protect data (encryption at rest and in transit, data classification, loss prevention)
• Maintain compliance with NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and build policy‑as‑code solutions (OPA, Sentinel)
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines; secure IaC (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
• Use security scanning tools (Snyk, Checkov) and threat frameworks (STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud)

• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
• Microsoft Certified:
  Azure Security Engineer Associate
• Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
• CISSP (for broader security architecture knowledge)
