Our IT Business Analyst opportunity may be the next position in your career growth. Position Responsibilities- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, data flows, and system landscapes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Document current and future state processes, develop functional and technical requirements, and, in partnership with PMO resources, create workflows to support project execution.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, identify gaps, and develop functional consensus among stakeholders.
- Oversee requirements gathering and documentation of functional and technical specifications for projects, working closely with PMO to translate them into detailed project plans.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to eliminate system complexities, improve user experience, and increase operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong partnerships with key business and technical stakeholders, including attorneys, administrative staff, and professional teams, to understand business needs, strategies, and priorities.
- Contribute to discussions to identify opportunities for IT to deliver value through innovation, process improvement, or enhanced capabilities.
- Serve as a collaborative bridge between the IT department and the firm’s business units to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
- Ensure end‑user satisfaction by translating business needs into IT deliverables and maintaining open lines of communication throughout projects.
- Support the firm’s change‑management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, tools, or processes.
- Assist in creating user training materials and conducting training sessions for end‑users and technical teams.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s key applications, including legal practice management systems, document management systems, time‑keeping tools, and collaboration platforms.
- Maintain standard operating procedures, user manuals, and documentation for application systems and workflows.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, capable of interacting with all levels of business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to map, analyze, and optimize business processes, and implement innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management principles.
- Proactive, customer‑oriented mindset with a focus on driving solutions and achieving results.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build consensus among diverse teams.
- Experience in change management, particularly in implementing new systems or processes.
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or five years of equivalent IT and business/industry experience, with at least two years of business analysis or business relationship management.
