Wright’s Way Foundation is seeking a
Somali Translator to support an initiative focused on improving language access for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) families. This project will ensure critical maternal and neonatal health information is accessible to Somali‑speaking families in Franklin County.

The contracted translator will assist with:

• Translating NICU care package materials from English to Somali
• Translating select website content related to NICU and maternal mental health resources
• Ensuring translations are culturally appropriate, accurate, and family-centered
• Reviewing translated materials for clarity and consistency
• Collaborating with Wright’s Way Foundation staff and project partners as needed
• Fluency in English and Somali (written and spoken)
• Experience with translation or interpretation
  , preferably in healthcare, nonprofit, or community‑based settings
• Strong understanding of cultural nuances within Somali communities
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Familiarity with maternal, infant, or community health terminology is strongly preferred

Hybrid opportunity

Combination of remote translation work and limited in‑person meetings and check‑ins in Columbus, OH (as needed)
