📌 Position OverviewWe are seeking a Legal Assistant (Spanish) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with native-level fluency in both languages. This role requires not only strong organizational skills and attention to detail, but also a genuine passion for helping immigrants and supporting their journey toward stability and opportunity.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, English, Spanish, or a related field.
- Native-level fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to immigrant rights and social justice.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in immigration cases.
- Draft immigration forms and prepare basic legal documents under the direct supervision of an attorney.
- Translate and draft legal documents in English and Spanish.
- Provide interpretation for client meetings.
- Assist with client communications, ensuring clarity and compassion across languages.
- Maintain case files and manage scheduling.
- Support attorneys in hearings, filings, and other immigration-related processes.
