Position OverviewWe are seeking a Legal Assistant (French) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be fully bilingual in English and French, with native-level fluency in both languages. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and—most importantly—a genuine passion for helping immigrants and supporting their journey toward stability and opportunity.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, English, French, or a related field
- Native-level fluency in both English and French (spoken and written)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to immigrant rights and social justice
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in immigration cases
- Prepare basic immigration forms and documents under the supervision of an attorney
- Translate and draft legal documents in English and French
- Assist with client communications, ensuring clarity and compassion across languages
- Maintain case files and manage scheduling
- Conduct basic legal research and prepare summaries
Support attorneys in hearings, filings, and other immigration-related processes
- Competitive salary of $45,000 per year
