Join us as a Distribution Center Supervisor responsible for planning work schedules, managing a team, ensuring safety and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.

• Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff to perform activities and respond to fluctuating workloads. Step in to perform work duties when needed.
• Interview and provide feedback to HR team and/or Warehouse Manager.
• Manage and direct work of the functional team, including hiring, corrective action, performance appraisals, pay review, budget and processes.
• Lead and motivate a large team, manage performance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment in accordance with Würth basic principles.
• Implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge, including new employee onboarding.
• Manage workforce planning, staffing, and labor relations to meet operational requirements.
• Assist with design and implementation of work methods and operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Collaborate with employees across the organization to address customer/warehouse related issues.
• Confere with company personnel to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with other departments such as sales and purchasing.
• Develop project plans, coordinate projects and communicate progress.
• Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure it has been performed properly.
• Maintain warehouse equipment, providing preventative maintenance programs and all necessary repairs, including coordinating through third‑party vendors.
• Support the warehouse team in day‑to‑day activities as needed.
• Ensure the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform required functions.
• Ensure safety procedures in the department and provide effective and timely training in safe work practices and OSHA regulations.
• Keep the warehouse clean and orderly.
• Coordinate building and grounds maintenance, using department or third‑party resources as needed.
• Review work processes, recommend improvements to productivity, equipment performance, and quality of service, and suggest changes to increase efficiency.
• All other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience in a distribution/warehouse or logistics role preferred; material handling and forklift experience mandatory.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, medical certification, and clean driving record; commercial driver’s license preferred.
• Experience motivating, developing, and directing people, identifying the best people for the job.
• Knowledge of warehouse, transportation, and logistics best practices and basic safety practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple people, handle confidential information, manage projects related to the operation, and handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to consider relative costs and benefits of potential actions and choose the most appropriate one; manage an expense budget.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Requires lifting ability of up to 80 pounds; requires working on concrete surfaces.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure with fractions and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent.
