This position works out of our Tipp City, OH location in the Abbott Nutrition division. • As the Maintenance Planner / Scheduler, you'll have the opportunity to perform activities related to planning, setting time standards, analyzing, expediting, and organizing equipment maintenance activities. You will regularly interface with department supervisors and maintenance technicians for material requisition, scheduling of work by task and priority, auditing of maintenance work requests, and spare parts.
• Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
• Plan and schedule equipment preventative maintenance (PM) and demand maintenance (DM) activities in area of responsibility.
• Monitor qualifications for service contractors being brought onsite.
• Reference equipment drawings and collaborate with area engineers to locate and set up parts in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Develop job plan steps and required materials for DM activities.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain the effectiveness of work order maintenance systems (ex: Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and Maintenance demand work orders).
• Estimate time for work orders; prepare schematics or rough sketches, material lists, and specific tools necessary for safety precautions and work to complete the documentation cycle for completion.
• Develop maintenance labor standards for various maintenance tasks.
• Requisition and order repair parts from vendors of non-stock parts or work with the stock room on key stock parts in low reserve to minimize line down time in the event a spare part is not on site.
• Monitor, update, and maintain all existing maintenance systems, such as Preventive Maintenance, and PdM tasks and scheduled work orders.
• Communicate requested work and equipment availability and coordinate with the appropriate shift. During weekends, holidays, off shifts, and shutdown, this position may be called upon and required to be on-site to use planning skills to assist site maintenance team.
