** General Summary
** The welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools. Flexible hours or PT work available if that is what you are looking for.
** Essential Job Accountabilities
**** Education
* ** High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience
** Certification
* ** Valid driver's license
* Welding certifications a plus, but not required
** Work Experience
*** Minimum 2 years' experience in pipeline construction and welding procedures

Skills and Abilities

*** Prior experience with drilling, welding casing is a plus.
* Experienced in Stick, Wire Feed, TIG
* Experience with conceptualizing and designing for fabrication
* Forklift certification
* Be able to routinely lift heavy equipment up to 75 pounds
* Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
* Look at flat drawings, pictures, and blueprints and visualize how they would look as solid objects with height, width, and depth
* Have good written and verbal communication skills
* Be able to promote the safety culture within our company by working within the safety policies established by Granite and our customers.
* Be willing to perform a variety of tasks as may be necessary to promote completion of work, including assisting on other projects as necessary.
