• Prepare various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting or other means as necessary.
• Interpret and follow sketches, blueprints and specifications for each job.
• Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve desired colors and consistencies.
• Apply paint, varnishes, and stains on structures and equipment utilizing brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Ensure that all work carried out conforms to health and safety standards, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
• Coordinate with other team members and project managers to meet deadlines and project requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and professionalism.
• Inspect finished jobs for quality control and adhere to industry standards and client specifications.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, and participating in professional organizations.
• Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• 1+ years of experience as a commercial or industrial painter.
• Proven knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• High school diploma or equivalent; professional certification as a painter is a plus.
• Excellent physical condition and hand-eye coordination.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods and manage tasks that involve bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to safety procedures and practices necessary in the painting or coating industry.
• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Columbus, OH.
