Production Worker

Pay Rate - $19.99 per hour + $2.00 per hour shift differential for night shift

* New employees are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus*

Royal Building Products, a vinyl siding manufacturer, has a full-time opening for a Production Worker. This position is responsible for handling, packaging and stocking raw materials, banding, box making and transporting finished goods.

Candidates must be able to work a rotating 12 hour shift; 7:00am-7:00pm or 7:00pm-7:00am.

• Assemble boxes for packing
• Pack products according to company standards
• Fold and glue boxes for shipping
• Attach labels to boxes and use hand-held scanner for inventory
• Assist machine operators on extrusion line startups, shut-downs, profile and color changes
• Remove scrap material during jam-ups and start-ups
• Ability to monitor quality and identify defects
• Maintain good housekeeping
• Maintain safety standards as posted in work areas
• Report any malfunctions or breakdowns of equipment
• Performs additional duties as assigned

• SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to hold, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must lift, carry and/or move up to 100 lbs. frequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

In addition, mobility to cover 2 facilities (North & South Plant) is required.

This position works in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Noise level commensurate with large machinery. Ear and eye protection must be worn at all times and steel toed shoes and long pants are required. Temperatures, although maintained, can be affected.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The pay range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company.
