Chemical Operator III

Responsibilities

Tasks include:

• Must follow all safety rules, regulations, operating procedures, and corporate/plant policies
• Wear powered air purifying respirator as needed
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to go up and down stairs
• Safely operate an industrial truck lift
• Compounding and staging of raw materials
• Blending of chemicals and powders
• Monitoring mixers during the mixing and reaction
• Use of distributed control systems to control and monitor process
• Labeling and filling containers with product
• Take samples of powder and liquids to ensure product quality, stage empty containers, maintain satisfactory housekeeping standards, and prepare equipment for maintenance
• Safely handling industrial chemicals
• Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment. Including chemical suit, respirator, face shield, goggles, gloves and hard hat
• Use of MRP system
• Participate in company safety meetings and trainings
• Assist in shipping and receiving

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be safety conscious
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
• Must be able to use computer
• Be willing to work any shift
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work with others
