Description

This position works closely with the Supervisor in a team environment with employees; providing training, support, and assistance to employees, for the purpose of helping employees and the shift to meet quality, SAFETY, production goals, and standards. This leadership position is technical in nature and responsible for the overall output and quality of all production lines. The successful packer will consistently perform duties in a SAFE and professional manner, meet production goals and standards, forestall safety hazards, diligently train shift Operators and other employees, and provide shift 3-month average run efficiencies of 90% or greater.

Locate and read the order.

Read and locate the number of pieces you carry per box.

Physically locate bags and boxes.

Know the product you will be working with.

Packers inspect produce for compliance with visual specifications. Packers must be aware of visual requirements, which include:

Web (material esqueleto sobrante)
Hole (hoyos)
Off trim (piesa mal cortada no centrada)
Thin spots (areas delgadas)
Thin wall (paredes delgadas)
Thin bottom / top (area de arriva y abajo delgadas)
Thick spots (areas gruesas)
Flow line (lineas de mucho material)
Rough or poor trim (Producto mal cortado y rasposo)
Plug or assist marks (marcas en el producto de las plogas)
Non-plug / assist marks (marcas en el prodructo de no tener plogas)
Poor form (producto mal formado)
Poor mating part fit and retentention (producto mal cortado y no resistente al peso)
Poor compression test results (producto no retiene el peso)
Contamination (contaminacion en el producto)
Angel hair None allowed (pelo de angel No esta permitido)
Silicone stains (manchas de silicone)
Sealing surface defects (producto defectuoso al rededor del aro)
Poor optical characteristics (producto no se ve bien)
Dent (producto golpeado)
Product falling out of rails (la hoja callendose de los rieles)
Sheet falling out of rails (la hoja callendose de los rieles)
Shot sticking to mold (la hoja pegandose en el molde)
Warped product (producto torcido)
Metal None allowed (metal Nada esta permitido)
Shards None allowed (Pedacera Nada esta permitido).

Packers do Not compress the parts when placing them in the box.

Count or measure correctly the lines indicated in the order. The boxes must have the correct amount.

Pack the plastic for food that meets the specifications documented in the order and based on a good quality.

Communicate with other employees to share information about the condition of the machine.

Make boxes for packaging and move them to the tape machine, but not before putting your stamp.

Repack the product as necessary.

Notify the operator, supervisor, or quality control of any type of problems with either the machine or poor-quality product.

Keep your work area clean and tidy, organize work area sweet the floor when needed.

Correctly complete the documentation of production and activities.

Contact your supervisor when your machine is down for a long time or if the order is over.

Relieve other employees for break or lunches.

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates must be willing to work any assigned shift and participate in weekend overtime based on business needs.
