The Marketing and Communications Specialist works collaboratively to develop, implement, and create comprehensive communications and visual design projects for The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC). The marketing and communications specialist supports the design, implementation, measurement, and optimization of marketing and communication deliverables and programs with long‑and short‑term strategies that support institutional and state sponsor priorities and organizational goals, while contributing to building the GRC brand;
assists GRC employees with delivering visual design and accessibility requests and coordinating the workflow related to research communications and data visualizations; applies technical and in-depth design software knowledge and project management practices to enhance project materials, digital assets, and events. The Marketing and Communications specialist manages the effective and efficient delivery of communications both internally and externally, including executive communications support and faculty and staff from Ohio’s Academic Medical Centers;
conveys difficult or complex information in an accessible way.
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, this position will assist the Director of Communications and Marketing and the Communications Team with developing branding, stakeholder engagement, event planning/promotion, and digital marketing materials within its programmatic areas (Health and Health Service Research, Evaluation, Project Management, and Quality Improvement).
Minimum Education RequiredBachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
Required QualificationsA minimum of two years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
- Two to four years of visual design experience preferred.
- Excellent project and process management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with varied constituencies.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of Digital Accessibility standards.
