Job Summary:The Special Projects Coordinator – Workforce Programs supports participants across the Empowerment Services department’s workforce programming. This position is responsible for outreach, initial client registration, intake, case management, employer engagement, and coordination of employment-related services. The coordinator assists individuals in identifying employment goals, addressing barriers to employment, and developing and implementing Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) in alignment with agency policies, procedures, and funding requirements.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct initial client registration, intake, eligibility screening, and comprehensive needs assessments for workforce program participants
- Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Support participants in developing, understanding, and implementing Individual Employment Plans (IEPs)
- Assist individuals in identifying, addressing, and overcoming barriers to employment
- Prepare, maintain, and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of client files and required documentation
- Enter timely and accurate participant data into databases for tracking, reporting, and compliance purposes
- Support clients with employment placement, internships, pre-apprenticeships, and other work-based learning opportunities
- Provide job readiness support, including resume development, job applications, and interview preparation
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and workforce partners
- Align employer needs with client skills, interests, and career goals
- Identify, address, and resolve employer or participant concerns while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
- Make and coordinate referrals to internal and external resources to support participant goals and service plans
- Coordinate and support career fairs, hiring events, and employer information sessions
- Participate in outreach, recruitment, and engagement activities to support enrollment and retention goals
- Develop, maintain, and distribute outreach and marketing materials consistent with program objectives
- Monitor enrollment, placement, and retention trends and collaborate with leadership to improve program outcomes
- Prepare and submit required weekly, monthly, and quarterly participant and program reports
- Complete Financial Assistance Requests and related documentation to reduce or eliminate barriers to employment
- Represent IMPACT Community Action in a professional, courteous, and mission-aligned manner at all times
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
This position is primarily based in a standard office environment and requires the ability to effectively operate a telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment for extended periods of time. The role also requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods as needed throughout the workday. Occasional local travel and attendance at community events, meetings, or off-site activities may be required.
Additionally, the position requires the ability to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 15 pounds in the course of performing regular job duties.

Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in social work or related field or equivalent knowledge/experience
- Four years’ experience in a position with responsibility for providing and/or coordinating supportive services to help individuals reach their goals
- Client support practices

- Knowledge of developing teaching aids
- Knowledge of client services, coaching and training practices
- Knowledge of practices in serving and working with hard-to-place individuals
