Location: Columbus, Ohio Job Type: Part-time (20 hours/week), with potential to transition to full-time Work Setting: In-person and field-based

The Bhutanese Community of Central Ohio (BCCO) is a leading community-based organization dedicated to empowering refugee and immigrant families across Central Ohio. With a decade of proven impact, BCCO has become a trusted hub for mental health support, youth development, and culturally grounded community programs — including nationally recognized initiatives in youth mental health advocacy.

Position Overview

BCCO is seeking an experienced and passionate Youth HEAL Program Manager to lead the Healing, Empowerment, and Advocacy through Leadership (Youth HEAL) initiative — a program designed to train Youth Mental Health Coordinators, build a sustainable peer-support model, and culminate in a youth-led mental health conference.

This role is ideal for someone with community mental health experience, strong program leadership skills, and a deep commitment to supporting refugee and immigrant youth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage all aspects of the Youth HEAL program.
  • Recruit Youth HEAL Coordinators from Bhutanese and broader immigrant communities.
  • Supervise and mentor coordinators as they recruit and support peer mentors.
  • Lead planning and execution of a youth-led mental health conference .
  • Manage program budget, grants, reporting, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and expand diverse funding streams to grow the program and position.
  • Collaborate with partners to incorporate data-driven evaluation and outcome tracking.
  • Represent BCCO and Youth HEAL in external meetings, advocacy spaces, and community forums.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field (
    Master’s preferred ).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program management or clinical/community mental health.
  • Experience providing counseling, case support, or youth mental health services.
  • Proven skills in grant writing ,
    budget management , and program administration.
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team-building experience.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Deep cultural understanding of refugee and immigrant communities.
  • Bilingual preferred (Nebali or other South Asian languages).
