Scope of Position:
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services aimed at achieving positive patient outcomes, maximizing patient involvement in their own care plan, and reducing hospitalization length. The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care.

Position Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to patients and their families, as well as directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements, coordinates, delegates, and evaluates nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.

2-Year College Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a major in nursing.

Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience with a major in nursing.

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited nursing program is required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. Experience in relevant care settings is preferred.
