The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works with a multi‑disciplinary team of physicians and other health‑care professionals to provide primary care, ambulatory care, and clinical services to students at The Ohio State University. The LPN serves as one of the primary initial contacts with clinical services, obtaining patient reason for visit, vital signs, and other clinical information; assists providers with procedures; administers injections, medication, and intravenous fluids;
and documents all information in the electronic health record.

- Administer medications and intravenous fluids.
- Document clinical orders and patient data in the electronic health record.
- Required
:
Graduate from an approved school of practical nursing; current Ohio LPN‑Pharmacology license or ability to obtain prior to start date;
American Heart Association Basic Life Support – Health Care Worker certification or ability to obtain; IV certification and experience; experience using electronic health information management systems. - Desired
: 2 years’ work experience in an ambulatory care setting; experience with an adolescent population; working knowledge of communicable disease prevention and control.
Final candidates may be asked to complete a pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
SalaryTargeted hiring range is $22.36 to $27.88 per hour. The offer will be within this range based on internal equity, unit budget, and candidate qualifications.
