Westerwood is currently searching for a LPN Charge Nurse to join our incredible team in Assisted Living for a full-time 7am-7pm position. The LPN Charge nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, company policies, and state regulations. The LPN ensures the health, safety, and comfort of residents, supervises the caregiving staff, and communicates effectively with families, physicians, and the team as needed.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have a current LPN (licensed practical nurse) license in the State of Ohio, CPR certification, and have at least six months of geriatric nursing experience. Candidates must also have the passion and the ability to provide superior quality of care, with an emphasis on customer service in all that they do, and must be a resourceful problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to residents and administer medications.
  • Administer treatments including, but not limited to, dressings, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
  • Coordinate, supervise and evaluate resident care and assist in direct resident care, as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medication administered and cares rendered.
  • Keep physician and family aware of changes in resident’s condition.
  • Assist in admission and discharge procedures.
  • Respond to resident emergency call system, as indicated.
