LPN Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an LPN Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team! You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care under direction of RNs, physicians, or other licensed providers, including oxygen administration, sterile dressing, catheter insertion, wound care, dialysis treatments, and medication administration (oral, topical, intramuscular, subcutaneous)

• Respond to patient emergencies and alarms, providing first aid, CPR, and restraint if necessary

• Observe, document, and report patient conditions, including medication reactions, treatment responses, and behavior changes

• Maintain medication accountability, patient records, and inventory of medical equipment and supplies

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including hygiene, grooming, bathing, repositioning, and recreational activities

• Provide guidance, orientation, and support to lower-level direct care staff

• Attend and participate in meetings, in-service training, and team conferences

• Order and maintain medical supplies and clean medication areas

• Perform basic clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing

• Operate medical equipment, including respirators, dialysis machines, sterilizers, oxygen equipment, blood pressure cuffs, and hypodermics

Qualifications:

• Current LPN/LVN license in the State of Ohio

• CPR/BLS certification required

• Knowledge of skilled nursing procedures, pharmacology, and patient care

• Ability to handle emergency situations and recognize unusual or threatening conditions

• Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Physical strength and dexterity to reposition patients, administer injections, and perform medical treatments

• Basic computer skills for documentation
