Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Float Pool position in Ohio, requiring at least two years of PCU or stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Work in the PCU Float Pool within a hospital setting
• May float to any stepdown or PCU area and possibly to other campuses with similar or lower acuity
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Typical patient ratio is 1:3-4
• Care for a variety of progressive care patients across multiple specialties
• Uses Epic EMR system;
  Epic experience is required
• Care responsibilities include telemetry monitoring and IV starts in a progressive care setting
• Potential to float between campus locations within the health system
• Time off requests must be submitted with initial application
• Urgent compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process is required for employment eligibility
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of two years’ PCU or stepdown RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry required
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Epic charting experience required
• Two professional references required, including one from a supervisor or charge RN
• Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible
• Former employees eligible after six months away
