Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: February 9, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts, weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays

Highlights:

• Specialized abdominal transplant unit caring for kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients
• Manageable patient ratio of 1:4-5 on nights
• Epic EMR system for streamlined documentation
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• 48-bed unit with diverse case mix including post-transplant care, hepatology, and acute kidney injury
• Opportunity to develop specialized skills in telemetry monitoring, IV management, and post-procedure recovery

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• 4 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Proficiency in IV starts, central line management, and telemetry monitoring
• Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be willing to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Two professional references required, including one from a manager or formal leadership role
