Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: February 9, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Mixed shift schedule including two 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and two 8-hour night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) per week. Weekend requirement of 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule. Patient ratio of 2:1. 36 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:

• 20-bed Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (Phase I PACU) serving adult and geriatric populations with daily census of 30-50 patients
• Level I Trauma experience preferred with comprehensive case mix including cardiac, neuro, bariatrics, vascular, and orthopedic procedures
• Extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Experience with advanced monitoring, ventilated patients, central line management, IV vasopressors, and external ventricular drains
• 13-week travel assignment with comprehensive orientation and support
• Former employees eligible to return after 6 months away from facility

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
• Level I Trauma experience strongly preferred
• Experience with telemetry, ventilators, dysrhythmia recognition, conscious sedation, and pain management
• Proficiency with electronic charting systems required
• Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
