Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit / Med-Surg RN – Ohio
Start Date: February 9, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, rotating weeknights and weekends, rotating holidays
Highlights:
- Progressive Care Unit setting with neurology focus (PCU preferred; Med-Surg RNs may be considered)
- Patient ratios of 1:3-4 for optimal patient care delivery
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- 24 hours of paid orientation provided
- Float opportunities to various units within the organization for diverse clinical experience
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit or Med-Surg experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- EVD (External Ventricular Drain) monitoring experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Graduation from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
